Most of the massage modalities can  done in 30, 60, or 90 minute sessions for my AIS I ask that for a minimum of 75 minutes is scheduled but we may go up to 2 hours depending on your needs. 


Please keep in mind that each massage is different. We will talk about what your goals are, and the best way to achieve that. We may use a variety of techniques to achieve your unique goal.

​-Active Isolated Stretching. AIS is one of the methods of stretching most used by today's athletes, massage therapists, personal/athletic trainers, and professionals. Active Isolated Stretching allows the body to repair itself and also to prepare for daily activity.This method of stretching is also known to work with the body's natural physiological makeup to improve circulation and increase the elasticity of muscle joints and fascia.

Techniques


-Relaxation/ Swedish massage. This is a gentle form of massage that uses long strokes, kneading, deep circular movements, vibration and tapping to help relax and energize you. Focused work on the top layers of muscle and the lymphatic system. 

-Trigger point massage. This massage focuses on trigger points, or sensitive areas of tight muscle fibers that can form in your muscles after injuries or overuse.


-Deep-Tissue massage. This massage technique uses slower, more forceful strokes to target the deeper layers of muscle and connective tissue, commonly to help with muscle damage from injuries. The Deep Tissue work I do is similar to Swedish massage but with more pressure. 

-Sports massage. This is similar to Swedish massage but is geared toward people involved in sport activities to help prevent or treat injuries and incorporates stretching, and mobility work to improve range of motion.


-Cupping. Increases blood circulation to the area where the cups are placed. This can relieve muscle tension, which can improve overall blood flow and promote cell repair. It can also help form new connective tissues and create new blood vessels in the tissue.


​-Gua sha. A technique that scrapes skin with short or long strokes to stimulate microcirculation of the soft tissue, which increases blood flow. They make these strokes with a smooth-edged instrument known as a gua massage tool
